- Bank of America needed to refresh its retirement site in order to establish itself as a destination for consumer education and to drive account openings.
- Problem:
- The existing retirement site was fragmented and dated. Bank of America needed to get a foothold on the retirement scene as a way to drive account opening for their various investment products. They wanted to provide an educational, useful site for consumers, with a soft-sell to products and services.
- Solution:
- As lead interaction designer for this project, I was tasked with creating a compelling user experience in a compressed timeframe. In addition it was to be a pilot site for their content management system. User research and discovery to understand consumer attitudes toward retirement were conducted in order to inform the design direction. The resulting design organized content and tools that are contextual to the stage of a person’s life. This approach was further validated in our discussions with users in usability testing.
