LTSave, Inc

Company:
LT Save
Category:
Web Application Design
Problem:
Integrate third-party account aggregation into legacy application
Summary:
LT Save needed to upgrade how account credentials were collected for users who wished to download portfolio details to the LT Save web application. The existing methodology utilized screen scraping to access a user’s account information and image the account for the application.  As the company grew, screen scraping was no longer a viable method for accessing account data. LT Save was required to integrate with a third-party account aggregation provider into their existing application and needed guidance from a user experience designer on how to best develop a solution without extensive architecture changes.
Solution:
  • Analyzed existing information architecture and identified design enhancements to user experience flow to determine the integration points for account aggregation.
  • Consolidated number of steps for adding accounts, minimized need for manual entry through pick-lists which enabled seamless account retrieval
  • Recommended AJAX solution utilizing modal windows for the account aggregation tasks that could be agnostic of the existing page.
  • Provided a new layout for accounts page that provided an at-a-glance balance sheet which consolidated all accounts with hide/show links to reveal individual account details, table sorting, and edit functionality specific to the page context.
Services Performed:
Interaction Design, Heuristic Evaluation
